The Great Silk Route is one of the most significant achievements in history of world civilization. The widespread network of caravan ways crossed Europe and Asia from the Mediterranean coast to China, and since ancient times and Middle ages has served as important means of business relations and cultural exchanges between East and West. The longest part of the Silk way goes across the territory of Central Asia. Here is a chance to walk on the tracks of ancient caravans.

Day 1
Torugart - Tash-Rabat
The meeting point is at the border post of Torugart (3752 m).
Travel to Tash-Rabat gorge (3500 m). Exploration of ancient monument - the caravanserai Tash-Rabat (X-XIV centuries).
Accommodation in a yurt.
Day 2
Tash-Rabat - Son-Kul.
Transfer to Son-Kul lake (3016 m).
Tar-Suu - mountain panorama. Kekjerty - Valley of the Dead. Son-Kul waterfall. Stone circles - Tash-Tulga. Mounds.

Son Kul
Day 3
Son-Kul - Tamga
Transfer to Tamga town (the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake).
Choku-Bulak and Fairytale canyons.

Day 4
Tamga - Karakol
On the way, visit Barskaun and Jeti-Oguz gorges. Waterfalls. Red rocks.

Karakol - Chon-Ak-Suu
Sightseeing of Karakol town (Muslim mosque, built in the style of Buddhist pagodas, Russian Orthodox Church, the memorial complex of the explorer of Central Asia - Nikolai Przewalski). Transfer to Chon-Ak-Suu gorge. Alpine lakes.

Day 6
Chon-Ak-Suu - Bishkek
Transfer to Bishkek city. On the way, visit museum with petroglyphs (II millennium BC) and the Cultural Centre, Ruh-Ordo, in Cholpon-Ata. Visit Burana tower of the XI century (ruins of the ancient city Balasagyn, the capitalof Krahanid state).

Day 7
Sightseeing of Bishkek city. Visit Historical Museum and the Oriental bazaar. Excursion to the National Park - Ala-Archa gorge (2100 m) with the arrangement to see Ak-Sai waterfall.
Return to Bishkek.
Day 8
Bishkek - Toktogul
Travel to Toktogul through the pass of Tuyuz-Ashuu (3586 m) and Ala-Bel (3184 m).
Visit It-Agar gorge in Chichkan.
Overnight stay in a hotel or a guest house.
Day 9
Toktogul - Sary-Chelek
Travel to bio-reserve of Sary-Chelek.
Accommodation in a guest house.
Day 10
Rest at Sary-Chelek lake.
Day 11
Sary-Chelek - Osh
Travel to Osh city.
Sightseeing of Osh, Suleiman mountains and the historical museum.
Accommodation in a hotel or a guest house.
Day 12
Visit Uzgen minaret and the tower in Uzgen town (XI century).
Return to Osh city.
