The north - eastern part of the country is the most popular due to Lake Issyk-Kul – a high mountain lake surrounded by the Terskei and Kungei Ala-Too Mountain Ranges. Cosmonauts say, that from space one can see a blue point framed by a sparkling silver circle, these are the glaciers reflecting sunbeams. Issyk-Kul ("Hot Lake" in Kyrgyz) doesn't freeze in winter and white swans winter there - a real Swan Lake .

Itinerary
Day 1
You will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation in Bishkek. Check into the hotel. Take an excursion around Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan and visit the State Historical, Fine Arts and open air Sculpture ( Oak Tree Park ) Museums and an eastern bazaar, followed by a folklore program and dinner and stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 2
Transfer from Bishkek to the Ala-Archa gorge (35 km, 2100 m.). Trekking to the Ak-Sai waterfall and enjoy a picnic (shashlyk and other national dishes) near the Ala-Archa river. In the evening – watch a horse show near Bishkek.

Day 3
Check out of the hotel and transfer from Bishkek to Cholpon-Ata (260 km., 1609 m. via the Chui valley and the Boom gorge, along the northern coast of lake Issyk-Kul). On the way - visit the Burana tower (XI c AD) near Tokmok and the " Eol Castles " - Red Canyons in the Boom Gorge made by the wind in ancient seabed deposits (2 hours light trekking with lunch near the river Chu). Or, 4 - 5 hours trekking in the Kok-Moinok canyons in the Boom gorge, which has very much in common with the Grand Canyon in America - in this case, the group has to start early in the morning). Stay in a resort.

Day 4
Visit the Stone Inscriptions Museum (petroglyphs) near Cholpon-Ata and the History Museum .
Stay overnight in a resort in Cholpon-Ata.

Day 5
Excursion to the Chon-Ak-Suu gorge (60 km., 2300 m.) Light trekking to the mountain Lakes of Nignee and Srednee. Stay overnight in a resort in Cholpon-Ata.

Day 6
a.m. Transfer from Cholpon-Ata to Karakol (140 km., 1850 m.) Stay in a hotel. En route, visit of the Memorial Complex of Prjevalski, the explorer of Central Asia , near Karakol.
p.m. Sightseeing tour around Karakol - the Moslem Mosque (mosque) built in the style of a Buddhist Pagoda, Russian Orthodox Church (St Trinity Cathedral) and Oriental bazaar. Stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 7
Transfer from Karakol to the Altyn-Arashan gorge (20 km., 2600 m.) Bathe in a hot mineral spa and then go radial trekking in the canyon. Stay overnight in a yurta (Kyrgyz nomadic dwelling)

Day 8
Transfer from the Altyn-Arashan gorge to the Jety-Oguz gorge ("Seven Bulls" in Kyrgyz). Stay overnight in tents in the Jety-Oguz gorge.

Day 9
Transfer from the Jety-Oguz gorge to the Barscoon gorge and go light trekking to some waterfalls. Stay overnight in the Tamga motel.

Day 10
Transfer from Tamga to Bishkek. Go light trekking to the unique canyons of Konorchek en route.

Day 11
a.m. Shopping, souvenirs. Check out of the hotel and transfer from Bishkek to Manas airport.


Level of difficulty.
This tour can be recommended for the people who are able to make long walks and passes for 5-7 hours a day.
Conditions:
You must take warm clothes , hiking boots, raincoat, sunprotective cream, a hat from the sun, sleeping suck.
