Tour to the Kyrgyz National Natural
Park Ala-Archa.
This trip acquaints with the Kyrgyz National Nature
Park Ala-Archa. It is situated 40 km away from Bishkek in the Kyrgyz
Ala-Too mountain range at the height of 1600 m to 4860 m (Korona
(Crown) Peak). The park's best offerings are trekking and climbing
in rocky, icy, spruce-clad canyons up to an elevation of almost 5000
m above the sea level, which are removed from civilization and require
serious preparation.
On the trekking route to the Adigene waterfall
there is a cemetery of mountaineers from where you can also see
Korona Peak. Other route is to Ak-Sai waterfall and glacier.
The park abounds in wildlife, including eagles,
ibex, Marco Polo sheep, wolf, bear, lynx, boar and the rarely seen,
often talked of snow leopard.

Tour to Issyk-Ata Gorge
Issyk-Ata is the popular health resort open year round.
About 70 km from Bishkek and at altitude of 1775 meter. Issyk-Ata
became a place of pilgrimage after the Silk Road age. Testifying to
this fact is a huge stone with a depiction of Buddha that has been dated
to the 12th century. The image of the Buddha seated on a lotus bed.
Issyk-Ata translates into Kyrgyz as Hot Father, apparently
in reference to the hot spring in the area. Research by ethnographers
and linguists has shown however that the name Issyk-Ata actually
means Holy-Sacred, the denotation of the entire area as originally
a place of religious pilgrimage. You can make some hiking to waterfall.

Tour to ruins of ancient towns on
the Great Silk Road
You will visit ruins of ancient towns on the Great
Silk Road: Navekat, Suyab and Balasagun. At that places 4 world
religions met Zoroastrianism, Christianity, Islam and Buddhism.
Navekat flourished from the 6 th to 12 th centuries.
The founders were Sogdians. Navekat means new town in Sogdian.
Archaeologists have discovered remains of a Buddhist temple, a
fortress, and a Karakhanid palace.
Suyab was the capital of the Western Turkic Khanate
(6 th Century AD) and the later Karluk Turks (8 th century AD).
The city also flourished under the Arabs from the 10 th to 12 th centuries.
Here you can see the remains of a Nestorian church, a Buddhist temple
from 7 th and 8 th centuries and citadel.
Balasagun city is a place of unique mixture of
Buddhism culture together with Christian and Muslim inheritance.
It was founded in the middle of the 10 th century on the site of
an older settlement, the Burana Tower. Burana Tower was built in
the 11 th century and was originally 45 m. height. Balasagun was so
important that Genghis Khan's Mongol horde spared the city from destruction
and renamed it as Gobalyk.

Demonstration of hunting with Golden
Eagles
Hunting with golden eagles is the most traditional
and enjoyable form of recreation for the nomadic people of Kyrgyzstan
who live in the mountains. Hunting is a part of the national
culture of the people of Kyrgyzstan and we invite you to join
this culture. Golden eagles are hovering in the sky - these birds
of prey are used by the Kyrgyz in falconry, these beautiful and clever
birds have become a symbol of freedom and courage.

Rafting along Chu River
Duration - 4-5 hours. Season: May - September.
Number of persons - from 1 to 24.
Transfer: Bishkek - Boom Gorge (140 km.).
Rafting along the Chu river is rafting along the
Silk Road. The rafting section of the river begins right after
Orto-Tokoy water reservoir, the clear stream runs along the western
part of Issyk-Kul valley between the green meadows and bushes. Gradually
the river valley narrows and you realize that you are about to enter
the legendary Boom canyon.
There is the Orto-Tokoy water reservior in the average
part of the river that have an influence on rafting as a flow
quantity can be changed very quickly. Till the 5-15-th of May there
is could not be water, as there is a filling of water reservior. Usually,
water is let out more than 70-90 m³/second from the middle of May till
the beginning of August. A flow quantity could be fallen to 40-50 m³/second
in August.
Usually, there is water no more than 25-35 m³/sec in
September. The route is remarkable that along the river an automobile
and railroads are laid. Earlier there was the one of variants of
the Great Silk way in these places. Tour begins in several kilometers
above the railway bridge and comes to an end at Cholok settlement.The
river is the 4-5-th categories of complexity depending on the flow
quantity.

Trip to Burana Tower
We invite you to plunge into the ancient culture of Kyrgyz
people and to visit an architecture-historical Burana Tower museum-complex
which is one of the basic sights of Kyrgyzstan.It is situated near
to Bishkek city, in 11 km to the southwest from Tokmak.. Presence of
this magnificent monument, two lines of defensive walls and also riches
of the utensils which were found here testify that settlement is not
an ordinary and belonged to the number of the significant political centers.
It is supposed, that there was a capital of Karakhanids - the city of
Balasagun.
Burana Tower (dated XI century) is the one of the first
minarets of such type that was built in Central Asia. The original
height of minaret was 45 meters. Today the tower is 24.6 meters height;
part of it was destroyed during an earthquake in the XV century.
In the X to XII centuries Karakhanids khanate reigned
in Central Asia. The founders, ''karakhans'', Chingiz tribes by birth,
lived in the Tien Shan and for a short time of the second half of the
10-th century they conquered a large territory.
One of the capitals of this state was Balasagun. In Karakhanids
time a lot of new towns and settlements were built and Muslims religion
gained a great value that is why a lot of mosques were built in Balasagun
and other cities. Burana tower, mausoleums and other buildings found
during archeological researches became the monuments of the ancient
architecture. The city ceased to exist in the XV century.
