The lake Son-Kul is the second in size lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altutude of 3018 m above the sea level. It is surrounded by the snow mountain picks, hidden from the eyes, and it looks likes the plate, in the valley. And when you lie under the open sky on the beach of the lake, it produces an impression as if you can touch the stars with your hand. These places are rich in flora: edelveis, various mountain flowers.
The valley where the lake is situated was famous like a pasture from the old times and where the hills are covered with a thick and juicy grass. Your itinerary passes through the Alpien mountains and …of Kyrgyzstan. Every landscape produses an unforgettable impression. On the way to the lake you will have the chance to meet sheappeds families and live with them and try the normad life.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Bishkek. Excursion around the city.Accommodating in the hotel.

Day 2
Moving to the village Kochkor (300 m) Visiting the workshop in production of traditional felter carpets which are made by the women of the village Kochkor. Accommodating in the families.

Day 3-5
3 days horse riding track to Son-Kul lake: 10 km along the river from Kochkor as far as the village Koyar. Sleeping in the tents. Horse riding takes 5-6 hours dayly. You will cross tow passed on your way, which are situated at an altitude of 3260 m and 3700 m above the sea level. After reaching the lake Son-Kul you will be accommodated in the yurtas(traditional house of the Kyrgyz normads).

Day 6
Free day at Son-Kul lake. You can try kymyz (mare’s milk and watch the way of making bread and cheese by the Kyrgyz shepperds’ wives. If you wish , you ca have horse riding trip along Son-Kul lake and go for a walk among the hills , surrounded the valley. You can see the horse racing contest Ulak Tartysh (Kyrgyz polo) , which is the favorite amusement of the local population in summer time. At night staring at the sky, like an astronomer, the closeness of the stars with take your breath away.

Day 7
Move to Bishkek through the pass Tuya-Ashuu about 7 hours. Stay in the hotel.

Day 8
Departure home by plane.


Level of difficulty. This tour is meant for people with an average preparation and experience in horse riding, because sometimes 5-6 rides are possible during a day.

Conditions. You must take warm clothes, special walking boots, jackets from rain, sun protective cream, a sun protective hat and a sleeping suck.
