Ruh Ordo

“Cultural Centre Ruh Îrdo Òàshkul Ata". It was erectedon the coast of the Issyk-Kul lake in the resort zone of Cholpon-Ata in 2002, but until recently only selected Kyrgyz citizens and honoured guests could visit it. In June 2007, "Ruh Ordo" has opened its doors to general public.
Numerous stories, legends and myths of this amazing lake were embodied in the modern cultural centre of "Ruh Ordo" by Chingiz Aitmatov, in translation from the Kyrgyz language means the "Spiritual Centre" or the "Blessed Hailstones”. The uniqueness of "Ruh Ordo" complex by the author’s imagination – Tashkul Kereksizov - consists of a unification of five basic religions of the world: Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Buddhism and Judaism in one place, under one sky. God is a uniform for all – that is the postulate of this spiritual centre.
The images of the famous scientists and writers, politicians and poets, people of the spirit, saints and non-saints have been captured in various sculptures on the territory of the Cultural Centre of "Ruh Ordo".

Appearance of the President N.A. Nazarbaev stands under the canopy skillfully shaped from the metal and is directed towards people.
The Buddhist chapel conceals the secret of Nirvana in itself – its highest point of meditation, which all Buddhists strive to achieve, where the soul separates from the fetters of its own "I".
The Orthodox chapel was named in the honour of Anastasia Uzoreshitelnitsa, whose appearance is considered to be sacred, and also it was named in the honour of Naina Yeltsina (during her christening she was named Anastasia). B.N. Yeltsin with his wife N. Yeltsina were present at the opening and the chapel illumination.
In the Muslim chapel, you will not see any images - it is strictly forbidden in Islam, however the carpets symbolise two main currents of Islam - Sunnites and Shiites, concusses by a delicate work.
In the Catholic chapel, there is a representation of the saints, with the St. Mathew in the centre, in fact according to the legend in the Armenian monastery on the shore of Issyk-Kul lake, reliquary with hallows of St. Apostle Mathew is buried there, as specified on the Catalonian map of the world.
One of the most important exhibits of the Judaic chapel is the Torah - sacred Pentateuch, which in a broad sense includes the Spoken and Hand-written Canon, but also the whole set of doctrines of the Jewish people.
Roerich's house concusses creativity, as well as life of N.K. Roerich, together with his wife (Elena Ivanovna) and their sons- Svytoslav and Jury. «Roerich's symbol» even now flutters over many culture establishments worldwide.
The huge concert hall with amazing acoustics conceals in itself one more riddle - the unique scene, which smoothly passes in an unruffled surface of the cleanest Issyk-Kul lake.

Anyone, who happens to come here, independently of religion and nationality feels as a part of the Universe and can enjoy calmness, pacification, allowing ideas to plunge into deep philosophical reflections, forcing to reflect on the meaning of life.
